Accelerate form creation, deployment, and processing

Included with Adobe LiveCycle Forms is Adobe LiveCycle Designer, providing intuitive, graphical design capabilities that make it easy to design and deploy forms that re-create the exact look and feel of existing paper-based forms. You can also take advantage of form fragments, which are collections of fields, objects, and scripts packaged together in a reusable component (for example, address blocks or financial information sections). Form fragments make it easy to quickly create new forms using prebuilt fragments and to automatically update changes to forms that leverage global fragments. You can also assemble multiple PDF forms into a single PDF form package, so people can quickly and easily find all the necessary forms for their transaction.

Making it easier to complete forms can result in faster response times and lower abandonment rates. Using Forms, you can deploy electronic forms — both inside and beyond your organization's walls — that are much more convenient than traditional paper forms. You can also deploy guided experiences, or guides, which are wizard-like applications that help people navigate through the data capture process. Guides can dynamically change and adapt based on input data to help ensure that only relevant and accurate data is captured. And with an intuitive WYSIWYG guide builder that leverages a common data model, developers can create guided experiences at a higher level, reducing the amount of code and simplifying data integration.

With Forms, your organization can meet accessibility requirements, including Section 508, as well as World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) WCAG 2.0 Level AA guidelines, which mandate that electronic technology must be equally accessible to people with disabilities.

Integrate with back-end systems

Like all LiveCycle modules, Forms provides native support for XML, so you can leverage existing enterprise applications for rapid form deployment and data exchange with core business systems. You can embed PDF forms with content and data from key applications and add calculations and validations that automatically verify information as a user completes a form. By offering an avenue for returning captured data to key applications via SOAP-based interfaces, Forms further leverages investments in your existing applications and processes, speeding up processing times and reducing the risk of human error.

Integrate with other LiveCycle modules

By deploying Forms in conjunction with other LiveCycle modules, you can extend the functionality of your forms automation solution. For example, use Adobe LiveCycle Digital Signatures to provide security outside your core systems and beyond the firewall. Use Adobe LiveCycle Process Management to automate form-driven business processes. And use Adobe LiveCycle Reader Extensions to enable people to fill out forms offline and then submit the completed forms by mail or fax with dynamic 2D barcode technology.
