DocGen²

DocGen² is a Web based document generation system that will pre-populate forms and form packages with information from databases, legacy systems and end users. The document requests can be initiated by end users as well as by automated systems and applications. The document request will extract an intelligent form from the repository and pass it through a series of workflow processes in order to populate the data on the form. These workflow processes can consist of web services requests, database extractions, and end user input/verification of data. Once the form is complete, the system will deliver the documents via email, fax or printing.

The forms are created using a professional grade forms creation tool which creates paper friendly documents. The application can be used by any organization that has forms designed for printing in Adobe Central Pro. The data stream can be generated by mainframe computers and other Database applications. One of the main benefits of the system is the fact that the customer does not have to design and modify a form for data entry in the web application each time a new form is created or an existing form is modified in Output Designer. This greatly reduces the on-going form design and maintenance effort. Another great benefit is that they don't have to create a separate form for the PDF format because the application generates the PDF form, with data, on the fly.

Form Designers & System Administrators Can:

  • Add, Delete and Maintain Forms and Form Packages
  • Add, Change and Delete fields that are used in the forms
  • Define default printers by form and user
  • Define which forms can be viewed, printed, faxed or emailed using PDF format
  • Synchronize the forms created in Output Designer with the data stream from the mainframe computer
  • Maintain a database of users that includes their properties and assigned rights
  • Maintain a list of standard addresses available to the application for inclusion on specific documents
  • Define the application transactions and the CICS (Customer Information Control system) field definitions that allow CICS information (from the mainframe) to be available to forms
  • Provides security through a login process via a user profile maintained in the application by the System Administrator. Only users recognized by the application can access the application.

End Users Can:

  • View and Edit field data in a user-friendly GUI interface
  • Print Preview the form in PDF format before printing, emailing or faxing the form
  • Recall a printed form for viewing, correcting data and reprinting
  • Request a local form for filing in to print, email or fax
